Ripple Effects is a surreal AI-generated film that explores the far-reaching impact of human behavior across borders, technologies, and time. Using a two-year archive of images, video, and audio, the work merges visual narratives from across the globe to reflect on how resource extraction, forced migration, censorship, and digital overconsumption are interconnected.
Through the use of AI tools like Runway, Luma AI, Midjourney, and Stable Audio, collected media is transformed into fluid, painterly transitions—revealing how stories, people, and systems are distorted or erased in the digital age. The result is a dreamlike visual meditation where each frame ripples into the next, mirroring the subtle but profound ways our actions in the Global North affect communities in the Global South.
Ripple Effects is more than a film—it’s an ongoing process and a living archive. Upon minting, it becomes a dynamic NFT that will continue to evolve over time, incorporating public contributions and responding to the shifting landscapes of truth, technology, and resistance. It invites viewers to reconsider the systems we participate in, and to reimagine the role of art and AI in shaping a more equitable future.
